About me

I’m Jeeva, currently pursuing my MSCS at Georgia Tech. If you look at my GitHub, you see code. If you look at my LinkedIn, you see job titles. But here is the story behind them:

I believe that a machine learning model is only as good as the problem it solves. That belief has taken me from parsing 100GB of underwater audio/glider data to protect North Atlantic Right Whales (which led to a publication in Nature Scientific Reports), to shipping ML-based bot detection pipelines at Adobe, to building real-time energy dashboards that help balance the US power grid. I don't just want to improve accuracy metrics in a notebook. I want to ship systems that work in the wild.

I’ve always been a builder at heart. Research taught me how to reason about hard problems; software engineering taught me how to deliver solutions at scale. That’s why my projects range from ML systems that forecast energy demand, to web apps that thousands of students rely on, to automation tools I create simply because they’re fun. Each one is a chance to learn something new and turn curiosity into something tangible.

Feel free to check out my code on GitHub or connect with me on LinkedIn.

What I Do

  • Backend Engineering

Create reliable, scalable APIs using Django, FastAPI, and Flask, backed by optimized SQL/NoSQL data models (Postgres, MongoDB, Redis) built for real-world traffic.

  • Machine Learning

Develop end-to-end ML systems with PyTorch and Scikit-learn — from vision models and time-series forecasting to large-scale training pipelines and generative models deployed in production.

  • Full-Stack Development

Build high-performance web apps with React and TypeScript, designing intuitive UIs that integrate smoothly with robust backend architectures.

  • Cloud & DevOps

Deploy and manage cloud systems on AWS with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines — ensuring fault-tolerant, production-ready performance at scale.

Resume

Experience

  1. Software Development Engineer Intern (ML) @ Amazon

    Sep 2026 — Dec 2026

Incoming — stay tuned for updates!

  2. Machine Learning Engineer Intern @ Adobe

    May 2026 — Aug 2026

Built ML bot detection pipeline with an LLM-driven autoresearch loop. Shipped a LangGraph/MCP data readiness diagnostic, replacing 1-hour manual audits with ~10–30s automated reports.

  3. Graduate Research Assistant @ Georgia Tech

    Jan 2026 — May 2026

Integrated Meta's ESMFold into VizFold, engineering inference pipelines to extract 33 transformer layer states. Architected HPC deployments, cutting onboarding from 10+ hours to 10 minutes.

  4. Software Engineer Intern @ Visible

    Jun 2025 — Aug 2025

Engineered real-time chat system with React/Django/Ably for 7,000+ active users; reduced backend load by 60%. Scaled to 100K concurrent users at 8,000 msg/sec with optimized MongoDB indexing.

  5. Undergraduate Research Assistant @ Rutgers University

    Sep 2024 — May 2025

Improved solar forecasting accuracy by 20%–39% using CNNs on 150K+ sky images. Automated refugee settlement detection via satellite imagery, achieving 82% accuracy across 60K km².

  6. NJ Wind Institute Research Fellow @ NJEDA

    Jun 2023 — Apr 2024

Analyzed 100GB+ environmental datasets to model North Atlantic Right Whale presence. Co-authored a Nature Scientific Reports publication (2024), boosting recall from 16% to 56.5%.
